SADR Logistics – Cold precision under desert skies

SADR Logistics – Cold precision under desert skies

SADR Logistics is a key player in Saudi Arabia’s cold chain, operating temperature-controlled warehousing facilities in Riyadh. With ambient temperatures regularly exceeding 45 °C, maintaining strict thermal control is critical to protecting product quality and ensuring uninterrupted distribution.

Motivation & challenge: Stability under pressure

As operations scaled, refrigeration demands intensified across multiple storage zones and high-frequency loading cycles. The project required a system capable of maintaining precise temperatures in extreme heat while supporting continuous, large-scale throughput with no performance fluctuation.

Solution

A fully turnkey industrial refrigeration system was installed, built around high-performance screw compressor packages optimized for efficiency and durability in harsh climates. Designed around natural refrigerant principles, the system supports high thermal efficiency and long-term sustainability.

With a storage area of 24,000 m² and a total plant capacity of 6,900 kW, the solution supports large-scale operations with consistent cooling performance for different temperature zones:

  • Dual storage zones for flexible operation
    • Freezing: -22 °C
    • Chilling: +2 °C
  • Dry storage: +18 °C
  • Loading area: +8 °C to +10 °C
  • Corridor zones: +5 °C to +9 °C
  • Office areas: +22 °C

Results & impact

The installation ensures stable temperature control across all zones while reducing interruptions and supporting high-capacity operations.
